SD 500 recap: Carin Canale-Theakston founded Canale Communications in 2010, which has provided senior level strategy consulting to more than 250 life science companies, from startups to billion-dollar publicly held companies such as Amgen and Johnson & Johnson. Canale-Theakston is the vice chairwoman of the board for Biocom, a regional life sciences trade association, and a board member for the San Diego Venture Group. Company revenue grew by 33 percent in 2017, making Canale Communications the largest independent PR and creative agency focused exclusively on life sciences in California.
