The San Diego County Regional Airport Authority invites you to a groundbreaking ceremony for its new Federal Inspection Station (FIS) in Terminal 2 at San Diego International Airport

San Diego International Airport has experienced significant growth in international arrivals in the past quarter century – from 50,000 passengers a year in 1990 to more than 300,000 a year in 2016.

That number will continue to grow as more overseas nonstop flights are added. Construction of a new, larger Federal Inspection Station for international flight arrivals will allow the airport to process an ever-increasing number of passengers with greater ease and efficiency.

Complimentary parking in Terminal 2 parking lot (enter off McCain Road)

2395 McCain Road, San Diego, CA 92101

Follow signage to event parking; greeters will direct you to the groundbreaking site.

RSVP by May 12 to Groundbreaking@san.org

Features of the new facility include a second baggage claim and more queuing space in the lower level Customs hall, as well the newest processing technologies introduced by Customs and Border Protection. The new FIS is scheduled to open in summer 2018.

We hope you can make it!

Cheers,
San Diego International Airport
