Who are in the photos with BID president Jamaal Jackson? Due to expanding responsibilities Jackson submitted his resignation effective, end-of-meeting May 13, 2026. While we’ll miss Jamaal’s presence at the head of the table, we are grateful that he’ll still be part of our community—not just as a neighbor at US Bank Mission Hills, but as a friend whose door is always open. We thank him for his service, kindness, and unwavering commitment to making our neighborhood a better place. “It has been an honor to serve the Mission Hills BID as President of the board of directors and work alongside such a talented and dedicated team,” said Jackson. “US Bank Mission Hills will be the Title Sponsor for Taste of Mission Hills taking place on October 14,” continued Jackson.

Messages from our Current Board and Executive Director:

With gratitude we say farewell to a President who exemplifies a calm demeanor and strong leadership! We appreciate everything Jamaal and his colleagues at US BANK have provided to the Mission Hills BID.

I am very grateful to have served on the Mission Hills BID Board with Jamaal. He is a person of integrity, and I have admired his leadership style while he has served as President of the Board. Jamaal brings a prepared, level-headed and considerate approach to all situations, which instills confidence in those around him. We will miss having him on the Board, but we are lucky to still have him in the community!

Jamaal, your service to the board as a third term President and Chief Fundraiser who added zeroes and commas to our financials has raised the bar!  I will always remember your cool, calm and collected leadership, your strategic preparedness for all situations, and your unwavering support as my boss. With heartfelt thanks,

Susan, retiring executive director
