Help fill the need! The US Bank Mission Hills branch is hosting an American Red Cross Blood Drive on Thursday, January 25, 2024 from 9:00AM to 3:30PM.
The Red Cross Bloodmobile will be on-site accepting blood donations at US Bank Mission Hills, 610 W. Washington Street, San Diego, CA 92103.
Appointments
Those wishing to donate blood are encouraged to schedule an appointment. Donors may also streamline their donation experience and save up to 15 minutes by visiting RapidPass® online to complete their pre-donation reading and health history questions on the day of their appointment.

LGBTQ+ Donors
Prior to August of 2023, LGTBQ+ individuals were prohibited from donating blood. However, per the United States Food and Drug Administration update in August, members of the LGBTQ+ community are now eligible to donate.
The American Red Cross and US Bank encourage members of the LGBTQ+ community to participate – and for all community members to be take part.

Blood donation is now more inclusive for the LGBTQ+ community
On August 7, 2023, the American Red Cross implemented the FDA’s updated final guidance regarding an individual donor assessment for all blood donors regardless of gender or sexual orientation. This change eliminated previous FDA eligibility criteria based on sexual orientation. The Red Cross celebrates this significant progress and also recognizes there is more work to be done to make blood donation even more inclusive.
