The following information, regarding plans for the Central Mobility Hub, has been shared with the Mission Hills BID by SANDAG and Caltrans:
Central Mobility Hub – SANDAG and Caltrans need your input!
We invite you to share how you move around the San Diego International Airport area and surrounding communities by taking a short survey. Your input will help us understand transportation needs and priorities in the corridor and is key to the success of the plan we’re developing. Please visit our virtual engagement site to take the survey by May 14. Completing the survey should take fewer than 10 minutes.
About the Project
SANDAG and Caltrans are developing 12 data-driven Comprehensive Multimodal Corridor Plans that offer solutions to reduce congestion, support climate action initiatives, generate more transportation choices, and increase access for residents, commuters, visitors, and goods movement.
The Central Mobility Hub and Connections Comprehensive Multimodal Corridor Plan will propose transportation solutions in the area of San Diego International Airport and the surrounding communities, focusing on the proposed development of the Central Mobility Hub. Communities in the corridor study area include the Midway District, Old Town San Diego, Downtown San Diego, and parts of Point Loma. Major transportation facilities to be studied include Interstate 5, Interstate 8, Pacific Highway, other major transportation connections, and the Central Mobility Hub with a direct transit connection to San Diego International Airport.
