Colors on Canvas 2022

Colors on Canvas 2022 Banner Art Awards Reception
The Colors on Canvas Banner Art Awards Reception 2022 was held on Wednesday, April 27, 2022 from 5:30PM – 7:30PM. Please scroll below to browse and enjoy photos from the evening of celebration, awards and silent auction for the 76 hand painted banners by Mission Hills school children.
The banner were installed on lampposts throughout Mission Hills from March 8 through April 18. And, yes, among the nearly 300 attendees, you may see some familiar faces including Mayor Todd Gloria and Councilmember Stephen Whitburn, as well as business owners John Ealy of Harley Gray, Sam Mattia and Sarah Mattia of Pizza e Birra, Jesse Zmuda of Backbone Floral, and Dixie Hall of DixiePops. You may even find a friend or a neighbor or yourself in the photo line-up.
As you are looking through the photo gallery and see a banner you wish to purchase, please contact Susan McNeil Schreyer at MissionHillsBID@gmail.com and she will let you know if it is still available. We are seeking $150 or-best-offer for each banner. How lucky would you be to land a hand painted banner of your business? All proceeds go toward next year’s Colors on Canvas 2023.
Please scroll through the gallery and enjoy for the first time or relive the fun evening!
Be sure to also check out the list of top scoring hand painted banner artists. Surely a name or two will be familiar!
