On Behalf of the Mission Hills BID Board of Directors, Happy Holidays!
Oh what a year! I think it is safe to say no one saw 2020 coming. It has been a year like no other.
While 2020 has affected everyone in ways large and small, it has been an especially tough one for small businesses. The Mission Hills Business Improvement District board of directors and our executive director are so thankful for the entrepreneurial spirit and continuing partnership of the nearly 500 Mission Hills small business owners. Faced with challenges created by the global pandemic and shifting state and local mandates to harness the spread, they have had to pivot, and in many cases, pivot again, to survive.
Equally, we, and the small business owners operating within Mission Hills, are very grateful for the ongoing patronage of such incredibly loyal customers. Without this support and appreciation of what these small businesses mean to our community, many would not have been able to keep their doors open.
However you choose to celebrate the remaining days of 2020, please support Mission Hills small businesses with your shopping dollars – whether online or in-person, by purchasing gift cards, by tipping extra when you take-out, by going to the source rather than using a third party and with positive social media posts.
Our best wishes to you for a happy and healthy holiday season.
And, a Happy New Year? Yes, please! 2021 has got to be better.
