Mission Hills-Hillcrest Knox Library Grand Opening Book Pass

January 26, 2019

More than two thousand Library supporters gathered in  Mission Hills on Saturday to celebrate the opening of the new Mission Hills-Hillcrest/Harley & Bessie Knox Library. Joining business owners and residents from Mission Hills were Mayor Kevin Faulconer, Congresswoman Susan Davis, Assemblymember Todd Gloria and Councilmember Chris Ward.

The opening of the 15,000-square-foot community gathering place was preceded by a book pass of the final 200 books along the seven block stretch from the old Library to the new. Beginning in February, Mission Hills BID meetings will take place twice each month at the new Library.

The Library Foundation is partnering with the Friends of the Mission Hills-Hillcrest Library on a campaign to ensure excellent programs, advanced technology and robust collections to serve the community. Permanent naming opportunities including space naming, engraved tiles and other recognition are currently available. Learn more HERE or contact Library Foundation Director of Advancement Natalie Ganz by email or at 619-238-6643.
