New Mission Hills – Hillcrest Harley & Bessie Knox Branch Library Construction and Kick-off Event

The following information was provided to the Mission Hills Business Improvement District from the Uptown Community Parking District and Councilmember’s Todd Gloria’s office:
Plans are moving forward with the long-awaited Mission Hills – Hillcrest Library construction.
Demolition is scheduled for early April, so the parking lot will no longer be accessible for public parking beginning in mid-March. We’ll confirm the precise date later.
See the following for details of a 12:00 noon special event scheduled in the lot for this Monday the 21st [of November]. Please feel free to join the event and learn more.
The parking lot will be closed from 6:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Monday for event staging.

Raise the Banner Celebration at New Mission Hills Hillcrest Library!
Please join Councilmember Gloria on Monday, November 21st at 12pm to hear about next steps for the Mission Hills-Hillcrest Library! Project architects and the Commission for Arts & Culture will have renderings of the future library on site to share with the public. We’ll hear from City of San Diego Library Director Misty Jones, President of the Friends of Mission Hills-Hillcrest Branch Library Phyllis Marion, and San Diego Library Foundation Chief Executive Officer Jay Hill.
