New Pedestrian Crosswalk with Flashing Sign Installed on Reynard Way & W Redwood Street

A new pedestrian crosswalk with flashing warning signs has been installed on Reynard Way at the intersection with W. Redwood Street. Those on foot on either side of the street may simply push a button to turn on the warning lights alerting cars traveling on the street to be on the lookout for pedestrians.

The speed of cars traveling on Reynard Way, in addition to the potential for additional crosswalks along the street, were both topics included in a Reynard Way Parking and Transportation Modalities Study.

With the addition of this new crosswalk with flashing warning signs, those who are traveling by foot will have added protections to cross from one side to another. Those traveling to this area by car will have less pressure to park on a specific side of the street in order to get to their destination.
