San Diego County EV Charging Station Grants Available through CAL eVIP

Grants offered by CAL eVIP and presented in partnership with San Diego Association of Governments (SANDAG) and San Diego County Air Pollution Control District (SDAPCD)

CAL eVIP is offering grant funding to businesses that want to install electric vehicle charging stations on private lots.  The application is available now. The grant requires a signed letter of authorization from the property owner within five days of grant submission

There is up to $80K available per station, $700+ per location and tax credit incentives as well. 

A Site Verification Form must be submitted within five calendar days of application date.  Additional grant requirements for fast chargers:

  • Chargers are publicly available 24 hours per day, 365 days a year.
  • Charger(s) must not be located behind a fence or in a gated parking lot closed to the public after hours.
