SBA Seeks Microloan Intermediaries
Thursday, August 1 & Friday, August 2, 2019
The SBA San Diego District Office invites you to two “FREE” Microloan events, featuring James Webb and Daniel Upham, from SBA’s Office of Economic Opportunity – Micro Enterprise Development Division, being held on Thursday (8/1) and Friday (8/2) (see attached flyers).
The August 1st event is intended for potential SBA microloan intermediaries, but all are welcome to attend. The second day is intended for existing SBA micro-lenders and Community Advantage lenders, but is open to other organizations interested in the programs.
We are searching for potential SBA Micro Lenders in the states of California, Oregon, Nevada and Arizona. These two events will help you understand the SBA’s Microloan program, SBA’s onboarding process, and discuss how this program benefits our underserved communities.
Potential SBA Microloan intermediaries include:
- A private, nonprofit community development corporation or other entity,
- A consortium of private, nonprofit community development corporations or other entities,
- A quasi-governmental economic development entity, other than a state, county, municipal government or any agency thereof, or
- An agency of a nonprofit entity established by a Native American Tribal Government
(Additional eligibility criteria applies)
Join us to learn more about SBA’s microloan program, as well as valuable information on SBA programs and services to help your organization, members and clients.
Please review the attached flyers. We hope to see you or a representative from your organization at one or both of these events.
