Upcoming Roadway Changes at San Diego International Airport – October 2023
Construction Alert – Upcoming Roadway Changes at SAN Terminal 1
Upcoming changes to roadway entrance, may cause initial delays – plan ahead for your next visit
The following information was shared with the Mission Hills Parking Advisory Committee by the San Diego International Airport. Due to the proximity of the airport to Mission Hills, transportation in and out of the community may be affected. Please plan ahead for any trips to or from the area of the San Diego International Airport.
The roadways approaching San Diego International Airport will continue to change this fall as construction continues on the New T1. Please drive safely, follow all signage and plan ahead for potential delays.
On Friday, October 27, a new entrance road and pedestrian walkway to Terminal 1 will open on westbound N. Harbor Drive.
The new entrance road begins near Liberator Way, which means you’ll be exiting off Harbor Drive earlier than before.
The new pedestrian path begins near the intersection of N. Harbor Drive and Harbor Island Drive.
These changes will allow construction crews to continue work on the new Parking Plaza, set to open in 2024. The new parking structure will accommodate up to 5,200 vehicles.
