The SANDAG iCommute program is shifting gears for Bike to Work Day to host a bike commuting webinar. Please join us on the originally scheduled Bike to Work Day, Thursday, May 14.
Webinar: Biking to Work in the San Diego Region
Date: Thursday, May 14
Time: 11 a.m. PDT
Learn essential skills for bike commuters, including how to ride safely and legally, route planning strategies, and valuable tips to make bike commuting more comfortable and fun. Hear updates about Bike to Work Day and Bike Month, current and upcoming bike infrastructure projects, and our regional bike network.
SANDAG Vice Chair and City of Encinitas Mayor Catherine Blakespear will provide a welcome message and update on our regional bike network.
Presenters include:
- Alison Moss, SANDAG Active Transportation Planner
- Natalie Cushman, SANDAG Bike Program Public Outreach Officer
- Kevin Baross, San Diego County Bicycle Coalition Program Coordinator
This 40-minute webinar will be followed by a Q&A session. In the meantime, check out additional biking resources, including the regional bike map, bike parking resources, and bike safety tips. Employers also can register for a free, virtual bike education class to help employees prepare to GO by BIKE. Registration is now open for a bike commuting webinar or a bike safety quick check.
