City of San Diego Park(ing) Day Guidelines

Global Park(ing) Day is Friday, September 20, 2024

The following information regarding guidelines for the Park(ing) Day was received by the Mission Hills BID and Mission Hills Parking Advisory Committee from the City of San Diego’s Economic Development Department:

Park(ing) Day is a month away, scheduled for Friday, September 20th.

Park(ing) Day is a global, public, participatory project where people across the world temporarily repurpose curbside parking spaces and convert them into public parks and social spaces. To assist with planning & decision making for Park(ing) Day activations, the City of San Diego has developed guidelines for organizations and businesses who would like to temporarily transform street parking into mini parks and places for art, play, and expression. More information about Parking Day can be found here: Park(ing) Day.

City of San Diego guidelines for Park(ing) Day are as follows.
